Hello and welcome to the first serious match report of the season. Up holland V Rovers.
A few regular players missing rovers travelled to scouse land and the windiest pitch in the league.
the game started well with both teams playing some decent football, Unsworth looking a little rusty on his return to the 1st team, But soon settling in and started kicking anything above the grass, mainly there pacey winger thus getting himself a yellow card ( Bless Him).
As the 1st half settled down the scousers startd looking the better team and playing some really good attacking football, then up stepped HAIR,,,,
running onto a through ball he turned there no 4 INSIDE OUT,,, yes INSIDE OUT to put in a great cross, somebody headed it ( i cant remember who) and Jolley scored from a very tight angle to make it 1 / 0, against the run of play i must say.
Half Time.
Bri Seddon, Come on lads we need to play better than this, were the worst team here and were winning.
Stu Williams, give me the ball more coz im well fit and the fastest here.
Stu Unsworth, Sorry lads about the booking but i love kicking scousers ha ha.
second half,
Game procedes with Josh having to leave the field with a dirty knee,,on comes BIG DAVE WALKER. After watching the master kicker unsworth Dave must have thought " I want some of that", and he got some,,,,, trouble was, it was in the box and u/h had a life line, up steps an Up holland God ( in his own mind) no:4 who scores the luckiest of pens as the ball bounces over Dainty who went the right way ( for once).
It was now rovers turn to start playing, really picking up the tempo and some good passing moves creating some good chances, as Rovers started getting on top u/h started doing what they do best,,,,,,,,,,,
crying to the ref, oh yes, every decision was wrong, every challenge was unfair, and every time rovers had a chance to score thy were off side,,
The game started to get a little nasty with a few people getting there feelings hurt and a few getting yellow cards.
Off goes Unsworth with his old legs after a hard fought battle on comes Doran.
A few missed chances later and up pops Williams with something straight out of Andy Hairs book of great goals, with the winner, 2 / 1.
Oh theres tears in scouse land now i"ll tell you.
Final whistle and Rovers deserved the hard fought win.
I must say there no: 12 ( i think that was his age) refused to shake hands after the game and even wanted to have a fight with Williams for scoring the winner Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. There no:4 was sent off,,,, After the game ,,,,,,
Ha Ha Ha Ha i"ll have to stop my sides are splitting.
Well Done Wigan Rovers.
Oh nearly forgot,,, Happy Birthday to Young Dicko. Come on lads its not every day you become a teenager.
